About Me
Cynthia Birdsong is an artist/art educator who lives and works in Nashville, Tennessee. She received her B.S. in Studio Art (with a painting focus) from Peabody College of Vanderbilt University and her M.Ed. from Belmont University in Art Education.
She has taught in both public and private schools and universities in the Nashville area as well as conducting her own workshops and teaching in the non-profit arena as an Art Therapist. In addition to her teaching activities she has been a presenter for the Tennessee Arts Academy and the Tennessee Art Education Association. In the private sector Cynthia was a State Art Consultant for Crayola and an Art Consultant for Pearson Education in the southeastern region as well as a K-12 visual arts teacher.
Her artistic focus includes oils and acrylics, encaustics, collage and mixed media techniques.
